Here's Aiden's Story
✨️Aiden who is now 17 was born with congenital heart defects. Double Inlet Left Ventricle, Atrial Septal Defect, Transposition of Great Arteries, Ventricular Septal Defect. Multiple surgeries were needed to repair his heart. In 2019 he was diagnosed with Protein Losing Enteropathy. Which is a pathological condition in which there is an increased loss of proteins, through the gastrointestinal tract, which leads to low serum proteins. They always knew at some point he would have to have a heart transplant just didn't realize it could possibly be sooner than later. The last couple of months they have been in and out of the hospital. And they recently spent a week in St. Louis to be evaluated for a liver and heart transplant. Luckily he will not need a liver transplant but he will be put on the heart transplant list in the next 6 months.
